What Equipment is used to access a DMR repeater
Motorola is the predominate repeater used in DMR networks, there are others but Motorola has the market share in the US. As DMR is an open standard there is a wide range of gear available, both new and used to get on the air. Search Ebay for DMR for a sense of what is available in the marketplace.
I had been looking at the various DMR handheld options available and when the Tytera or TYT MD-380 became available I decided to take the plunge and try DMR for myself. I will be posting a review of the MD-380 and the radio programming experience.
